Insect Expo

Insect Expo is an activity-oriented learning experience for fifth graders presented by the Southwestern Branch of the Entomological Society of America.

Students are given opportunities to interact with professional entomologists as they participate in a wide variety of lessons and activities designed to educate people about the most widespread and diverse group of organisms on earth:  Insects

Learn what adaptations have allowed these amazing creatures to be so successful.  Learn how the vast majority of insects are beneficial.  Learn how each insect has its niche in the ecosystem.  Learn about insect life cycles, use models to understand the insect’s physical limits. There will also be live exhibits and demonstrations.
